With the advancement of technology, people have become so self-centered that going out and mixing up with people seem to be a herculean task. So difficult is the situation that people are referring to online websites to find their ideal life partner. Little do they know that they are in for a toss and there are thousands of scammers there that are waiting to hunt for their prey.
What these scammers do is create fake profiles and try their very best to make it look genuine. Initially, they try to win over the trust of the person by offering them help, be it monetary support or emotional support. This goes on for about a month or so and soon after by the time the person has won over the trust of the individual, they think it’s a great time to return the favor.
They start saying that they want to travel to an exotic location and for that, you need to send money to them so that they can afford the plane tickets and other stuff. Other demands include saying that their loved ones have fallen very sick and as a result, they often need some money so that they can cure them.
Earlier, most of them used to ask for a direct favor but now things have changed because people have realized that directly asking for money is nothing but a complete scam instead. Hence, knowing the fact that most people end up succumbing to the emotions, all one needs to do is win over their trust and that’s it. Half the job is done.
Owing to the fact that they have already won over their trust, the prey ends up sending the money to them at one go. Soon, after receiving the money they vanish in thin air living the victim with nothing but a lower bank balance.
It is always recommended to communicate with someone on a dating app only and only if, they have a verified profile. Always look for that blue symbol before swiping right on her.
